UP professors sent off to Paris

Palme shares her experiences in front of the camera through the TFC Channel
Two University of the Philippines Cebu faculty together with seven other selected Cebuano artists were part of the one month Residency Program of Le 100 in Paris featuring 12x12 exhibit on September 25 to October 6.

UP faculty participants were Professor Dennis Montera and Ms Palmy Pe Tudtud. Others were Felix Catarata, Melver Mercado, Geraldine Ocampo, Jose Yap, Marvin Natural, Radel Paredes and Joshua Cabrera.

The 12x12 exhibit which is part of the program was a prestigious art exposition that gave credits to the works of invited Cebuano artists to show their works in Paris.

As a UP Professor, this is a very enriching experience,” Palmy Tudtud said as she mentioned her other involvements in the event.

“During weekends and days where we are free, we visit museums like Louvre, Musee d'Orsay, Rodin, and view the original works of Leonardo da Vinci, Rembrandnt, VanGogh, Rodin, Matisse, Renoir, Courbet and many others,” she added.

All participants joined the exhibit at the City Hall of the 12th District on September 25 and the exhibit at the arcade on September 28.


The “White Nights” which was similar to our “Gabii sa Kabilin” was observed on the last two days of the exhibit, October 5 and 6 where Galleries were opened until 12 noon.
